Art & Deco :

Tracing artistic footprints in Paris

As the spring invitational exhibition of Park Eul Bok Embroidery Museum in 2013, we represent ‘Art & Deco: Tracing artists footprints in Paris' participated by 6 artists, fiber artists and painters, whose artworks have the common ground of cultural sensitivities of Paris. Sang-nam Park, Jin-ho Ahn, Nobuo Okada, Soon-hee Oh, Ki-chang Han, Wook Heo have been working on experimental and creative expressions in various manners, not staying in the conventional boundaries of art materials and processes.
Fiber artists, Jin-ho Ahn, Soon-hee Oh and Ki-chang Han, show 2 dimensional and relief artworks manipulated tactile qualities in textiles. Sang-nam Park’s paintings are about life found in built-up cracks and traces on city roads. Wook Heo shows visual transformations from 2D to 3D canvas works by his modular combining process of continual piling and adding. Nobuo Okada shows installation artworks in 2D, relief and 3D adapting materiality to convey his subject matters. "
